Access to nature is abundant here. In addition to the links above Sointula has a  library,  gas bar,  hardware, hotel, recycling centre, thrift shop, community garden, harbour, seasonal burger barn and free bike service.

The ferry terminal  is in the heart of the village providing easy access via our diesel-elctric hybrid-powered ferry to the communities of Port McNeill and Y'alis/Alert Bay - the route to and from Alert Bay is free from Sointula.
