Lisa Darms

Lisa Darms is a NYC based writer and archivist who has spent the last couple of weeks here doing an offsite residency. Lisa was born in Alert Bay, and spent the first two years of her life in Mitchell Bay, where her parents were part of the early hippie settlement. The top photo here is Lisa's family photo of the A-frame her parents built, and the bottom photo is a pic Lisa took two days ago of the same house as it still stands, having been added on to and renovated many times over the years since Lisa and her family moved away. We love this history, and these photos and stories, and are so glad Lisa was able to connect with Connie Rock, who lives in the house now, and spend time in this house while here.
